Double Points Racing

Hol-EE canola oil!
we have some serious racing to make up for after all this rain, so from July 18-August 22, races will be worth DOUBLE the district POINTS!!!  What does that mean? The points you earn from one race will be doubled.
**Please note that we are talking points only. Race wins during this period will still only count as one win for those looking to class up.

Extra Race Day WEDNESDAY

Yup, that's right! We will be racing Wednesday night this week. Register online, via text or in person as per usual.

Introducing...Thursday Nights Open Race Night!

This is for our Big kids, and it's HUUUGE!!!
We are introducing an open class race every Thursday Night for the rest of the season.  This is open to all racers racing age categories 13 and up. There is a $10 registration fee, top three finishers taking the cash for prizing.
The Open class race will be run like a dual class race.  Athletes can register for their regular class race and then add the open as a second race.  Open Registration accepted on site at the motoshed only.

Mandatory Provincial Volunteer Positions

So...we are a week out from provincials and have well under 50% of our positions filled.  We absolutely cannot do this provincial without you!!
Part of your commitment to BMX this summer is to volunteer for a position this weekend. Take a minute and confirm your shift NOW, so your not stuck with a job you don't want!

Race & Practice Volunteer Position Shadowing

For the next little bit Sue will be working closely with each volunteer position, teaching everyone how to do these jobs on race and practice night! If there's a position you are interested  in trying, now's the time!

Thank you... AGAIN!!!!!!

The weeks leading up to a provincial race are always busy, but this year has been made especially hectic due to the (absolutely INSANE amounts of) rain.  Thankfully the skies cleared enough for the track work to start Monday, and boy did our track volunteers come out with a vengence! Thank you to each and every person who took time out of your busy schedules to help us get this track ready.  We had volunteers stop in to help while they were supposed to be grocery shopping, take days off work, and there were more than a few 10+ hour days put in this week. And we're not even exaggerating!

So again, thank you.  Our work isn't done yet, but wow. The hours put in will make it all worthwhile for our kids next weekend.
