Aurora Northern Series Race - This Friday
Last year we won the series and the championship belt so you had better believe the other clubs will be gunning for the win. So cancel all your Friday Night plans and meet us at the Edmonton track to defend our title!!!
If you’ve never participated in a race outside of Stony, THIS IS THE ONE!!!
It will be super fun, and while there will be more racers, there won’t be as many as we see at provincial races, so it’s just a little taste of what they’re like.
- Bring your racer’s license or they can't race. You should just put that thing in your wallet right now
-Pre Register by Wednesday June 12.
After June 12 registration in person before the race ONLY (by 6pm at the Edmonton Track). Trust us. Just etransfer the cash. Actually, just do it after you grab your racer’s licenses and you’ll be all set for the week!
-To Etransfer: Send $5 to email@example.com using password Edmonton. Include in the e-transfer message: Racer Name, Age, Class, Plate and UCI license #.
If your etransfer message does not allow you enough space, make a note in your message space that you will send a follow up email to the same address with your etransfer reference number and racer info.
Quick refresher: The Aurora is a “mini provincial” series with our Northern sister clubs: St Albert, Edmonton & Red Deer. Each of us hosts a race on a Friday night throughout the summer, usually in conjunction with a weekend camp. So it’s really fun.
Raffle Items Due ($50 Cheque)
Remember that $50 cheque you wrote at registration?
Well the time has come. If you have a raffle item please bring it to the track this week and we will give you back that cheque. Otherwise we will be cashing it and going shopping on your behalf. Arrangements can be made with Chrystal Kuhn regarding your Raffle Items/Cheque
3 Quick Reminders
Our Track Maintenance Team has been working hard to get the track in shape, and we need your help with three quick things:
Stay off the sides of the jumps. Please do not walk up the sides of the hills – whether you’re on the track as a parent or in a volunteer position. Please stay off the soft sides as you will break down the feature. And all our Track Parents’ hard work!
Please tell your racers to stay off the tops of the corners. We totally get it, it’s the place to be – and really, with the setting sun and resulting shadows they really do look rad – however, tell them no. And feel free to tell ANY kid you see up there to get their butts down onto the track where they’re supposed to be ;)
Please back into your parking spots. There are LOT of teeny tiny little bikers running through that parking lot at the end of the night.
