Join us for Alberta BMX Day’s “Come Try BMX” event on
May 24th from 12:00–3:00PM at the Stony Plain BMX Track. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or just curious to give it a shot, we’d love to have you out.
No gear? No problem! We’ve got loaner bikes and equipment available at the track — Just bring:
✔ Closed-toe shoes
✔ Long sleeve shirt
✔ Full-length pants
Our volunteers and coaches will help get you set up and ready to ride. Come experience the excitement of BMX in a fun and welcoming environment!

** Get Involved for 2026!

We are still looking for an amazing people to step into the following position for this year. These roles are crucial to ensuring another successful season:
* Concession Coordinator: Oversees the operation of the concession during practices, race nights, and events. Responsible for organizing volunteers, managing inventory and supplies, coordinating food and beverage sales, and helping ensure the concession runs smoothly and efficiently throughout the season. Plays an important role in supporting club fundraising and providing a positive experience for riders and families.
If you’re interested in this role or a Director at Large position, where you can help out without a full-time commitment, we’d love to hear from you. This is a great way to get involved and make a difference!

At Stony Plain BMX, we prioritize the values of sportsmanship and respect both on and off the track. It has come to our attention that there was a recent incident where inappropriate behavior was reported. We want to take this opportunity to remind everyone about our expectations for sportsmanship.

Sportsmanship means showing respect and fairness towards all competitors, officials, and spectators. It involves:
* Respect: Treating everyone with kindness and consideration, regardless of the outcome.
* Fair Play: Competing with integrity and adhering to the rules.
* Support: Encouraging and supporting fellow riders, whether they win or lose.
** Expectations for Riders and Parents

* Riders: Always compete fairly and show respect to your opponents. Celebrate your achievements without belittling others.
* Parents and Spectators: Support all riders positively and refrain from negative behavior or comments. Remember, your actions set an example for the young athletes watching.
We are committed to maintaining a positive and respectful environment at all our events. Let's all work together to uphold these values and make BMX racing enjoyable for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
